Description

Handmade to order in our Toronto workshop, each Garage Mills live edge coffee table is built from solid walnut around the natural character of the wood. The live edge is preserved, while the overall form stays clean, simple and substantial.

We intentionally offer a defined range of sizes rather than unlimited dimensions. This keeps the design consistent while allowing the natural grain, colour, edge shape and character of the walnut to make every table distinct.

Every table is unique

The photographs show the style, proportions and standard of our work, but no two tables are identical. Depending on the piece, the top may be made from a single slab or from matched walnut sections. Natural variation in grain, colour, figure, knots and edge shape is part of the character of the finished table, and the live edge can create slight variation along the width.

How ordering works

Choose your length, width and height from the listed options. We build the table to that configuration in our Toronto workshop, stabilize natural features where needed, and finish the piece by hand.

Current build time is approximately 8–10 weeks. Pickup and local delivery can be arranged in the Toronto area, and shipping is available across Canada. U.S. shipping is available as well; contact us before ordering if you would like to confirm destination-specific shipping or import details.

Need a size outside the listed options? Use our custom quote form before ordering. Non-standard dimensions and other wood species are sourced and priced separately so we can confirm material availability first.

Live edge furniture works because the natural character of the wood is allowed to remain visible. We build each table from solid walnut in our Toronto workshop, preserve the natural edge and build the base from solid walnut to match. Grain, colour, figure and edge shape vary naturally, making every finished table unique.

Knots, checks and natural voids are evaluated as part of the build and stabilized where needed. The finished table is sanded smooth and given a matte natural-oil finish that keeps the walnut looking and feeling like wood.

No. The photographs show the design and standard of our work. Natural grain, colour, figure, knots and live-edge profile vary from table to table, so each finished piece is unique.

Why are the sizes limited?

The listed dimensions are the sizes we can source and build reliably while preserving good proportions and material quality. If you need something outside the range, request a custom quote and we can confirm material availability before pricing it.

What happens with knots, cracks or natural voids?

Natural features are assessed during the build and stabilized where required. We preserve appropriate character rather than trying to make solid walnut look artificially uniform.

How long does a table take to build?
